How much does Betts Recruitment charge Candidates to help find them a new Job?
Absolutely nothing. It is illegal for any UK based Company to charge any Candidate to help them find work. The Law was established to prevent Slave Labour and Gang-Masters from taking advantage of non-UK citizens. We charge the Hiring Company for our Services and you should immediately report any UK Company or individual that may try to charge you to the UK Police.
How do I send a copy of my CV/Resume to you?
If I apply for a job, will I receive a reply and updates about my application?
Yes. We will carefully match the skills, background and knowledge that our Client’s ask for with your own experience. If we don’t feel that your offer the Profile that our Client prefers we’ll send an email to let you know. If we shortlist you, you’ll also hear from us – letting you know how we’ll move forward together.
How long will I wait, to find out if I’m going to be invited for an Interview?
That always depends on the availability of our Client. We send first files to them within a few days but if our Client is away on business or if their programme is delayed for any other reason (extreme weather, events such as recent ash clouds, holidays, religious observance, etc) the programme can take some time. We’ve placed people into their new jobs as quickly as 48 hours and as long as 6 months.
How Many Times Can I Apply for the same Job?
You can apply as often as you like, but we read every single CV/Resume that we receive (which also means we can suggest any alternative or additional Vacancies that might be of interest) so you only need to apply once - even if you see the same Vacancy posted in more than one location. If you do apply more than once, we simply delete the second and subsequent applications from you (unless we agree to proceed together with more than one Job application).
Can I apply for a Job through Betts plus any other Recruitment Company - and even directly to the Hiring Company - at the same time?
You can apply through any route(s) that you choose but if you are qualified as required your CV/Resume will land on the desk of the Hiring Manager at (for example) the Airline. It is an unwritten, global rule that whichever source your CV first came from is the only one that counts. If, for example, you first applied through Betts and then for a second time with another Recruitment Company, that second application will have no value if Betts has already presented your Resume to the Hiring Manager - they will only progress your Application with Betts. The same is true if you also apply directly to the Hiring Company either before or after using an Agency. We recommend that you decide which Recruitment Agency best serves your needs per Vacancy then concentrate your efforts on applying only through that route.
What’s a QSF?
We’ve designed a one page Qualifications Summary Form (QSF) which we send to Pilots and other Technical Candidates. It’s a very simple form that takes less than 5 minutes to complete and it asks you to breakdown your recent experience on type – plus any special questions that we may need to ask.
What does CV actually mean?
CV is an abbreviation of the Latin phrase Curriculum Vitae which, roughly translated, means Story of Life. You may be familiar with CV, Curriculum, Resume or Bio-Data; they all mean the same thing and each is your opportunity to convey your skills, experience, attitude, approach and the value you can bring to your potential new Employer.

How do I know that your Candidates will offer the skills we need?

Can we receive a copy of your Terms and Conditions?
Absolutely. Just ask and we’ll be happy to send a copy to your Company email address. We’ll first ask you to explain a little about your personnel expansion plans, so we can explain how we’d work for you and then send you the appropriate Terms (Freelance, Contract and/or Permanent).
