Betts Recruitment began five years ago with just me, doing things the way I’d want them done if I were a customer. It hasn’t always been easy. We’ve found ourselves staying at hotels in the wrong country (don’t ask!), had complete IT system failures and, just occasionally, rather too many cocktails in far flung bars! Our Team has grown, but my values haven’t changed one bit. My name’s Carol Poole and, as Accounts Co-ordinator, I’m the first point of contact for any finance enquiries. I’m married to Steve and have 2 sons, John (aged 19) and Michael (aged 14). Michael’s a member of the local RAF Air Cadets and is thoroughly enjoying all their different activities. He has also completed 4 trial lessons in a fixed wing microlight aircraft. Steve has been a professional musician for over 30 years, so he keeps me busy helping to arrange and run Acoustic Music nights at local village pubs. This spring we’ll be recording our 2nd charity CD and hope it will be as successful as the first one, where we raised £1,600.00 for our local Prostate Cancer Support Group. Along with a few friends, Steve and I have also decided to join a local dance club to learn some different steps….so that should prove interesting!

I am Neil, Head of Client Services. I enjoy a variety of different extra-curricular activities which I try to cram into my spare time; including a great deal of both playing and watching sport and the classic ‘socialising with friends’. I’m also extremely passionate about travel and am lucky to be able to get away with Betts to see Clients around the world. Indeed, I have just returned from Mumbai, India and can highly recommend it! I love sport and travel because it involves meeting a wide range of people from different cultures and backgrounds and I find with both of those and in my professional capacity, I can mix with a whole variety of people and get a huge sense of satisfaction when I see the reaction of a job well done.

Hi. I’m Kirk Fosher. Before joining Betts I came from a project management background within the Telecommunications market. As Head of Candidate Services I advise and support the VIP and Corporate community and have developed unique and highly effective ways of managing our Clients’ recruitment programs. The Aviation industry has always interested me and I now feel I am in my dream job. I have been married for just over 2 years to my wife Michelle and we have a 15 month old daughter, Mia, who I try to spend as much time as possible with. In my spare time I’m in my 5th year as a volunteer Special Constable for Northamptonshire Police and enjoy giving something back to my community. I also enjoy surfing the net and have a keen interest in riding and fixing motorcycles

From an engineering background, I have been a management consultant for almost 30 years.  During that time, my contracts have ranged to just about every industrial sector from making plastic buckets to installing machines for growing grass in the Borneo jungle.  With extensive experience inside the public sector and local government (I was Leader of our Local Council for 5 years) I’ve also consulted for the police, fire brigade and prison services.  I am enthusiastic about small business and have been a Director of a ‘Not for Profit’ organisation, helping small businesses succeed.  At BettsHRC I find the enthusiasm infectious and love the pace at which the Team works.  Attention to detail and the drive for continuous improvement are attributes I have found almost impossible to attain in other companies but at Betts they permeate the whole ethos of the company.  It is a pleasure to be part of it.
